Steam Big Picture - Preview

I've had my chance recently to play around with Steam's new feature Big Picture everyone can if you head over to View -> Settings -> Beta participation: -> CHANGE... then subscribe to the steam beta.

Big Picture works a lot like the Xbox360's built in system or the PS3 I just say the Xbox because I think it has more of that kind of feel to it, it's a media center for your PC allowing you to play games from your couch all with the HD Quality of the PC. Really the way they have it setup is pretty neat it's easy to navigate and find what you need, there is even a nicely built in web browser it functions much like chrome with the frequently visited sites, favorites, etc..

Blog Update

It has been a long time coming since I updated the visual scheme of my blog but with the seasons changing over, the weather getting colder and with learning how to photoshop I figured I'd put in some new images and update the look of the site. ^^

I'm fairly happy with how it has turned out so far, I'm always open to suggestions let me know what you guys think! and if you have any ideas drop them below. ^^

My next few reviews coming out will probably be for They Bleed Pixels, Borderlands 2, and then Secrets of Grindea in the far off future when that game is released. I am looking forward to writing them. ^^

I also realized due to my ad blocker program being installed I couldn't see ads put in the layout lol, so I didn't see them. >.< Which I imagine looked horrible, but I removed them all. ^^

Dark Souls - ???

A revised version after I realized there are people who probably like the game lol.

I just got done with Dark Souls, and I was wondering what people thought on the game? If anyone has played it? I see a lot of 9.5 and 9 reviews. But honestly it just eludes me how it got such a good review. It's not a bad game, and it's certainly aimed at a very select audience.

But I mean even within that audience surely they must realize that the only hook to it is that it's challenging, in which case the only thing challenging is the lack of information, not knowing monsters with melee weapons can extend their arms in some graphical glitch type way to send unblockable attacks at you that do half your health in damage. And then you die and fight back through a bunch of easy mobs since you already know what they do up to your corpse and do the same thing again with the next ridiculous enemy you find.

NOTICE - Blog Update

You know when I first started this blog I did it because I was tired of all the mainstream sites telling me how I was supposed to feel about a game or anime, giving it 7s and 9s arbitrary numbers with little to no meaning.

But sadly I have ended up in the same pattern because it seemed like the most effective method to convey how I feel about a game or anime, but the whole point in my blog was to convey things on a personal level.

Share my experiences with the readers get them excited about games or animes they might not try otherwise, increase their horizons as a gamer or watcher, sadly I feel I have failed to do this with my past reviews.

So at this moment I am working towards developing a better system that involves the person as a individual and to write more about my personal experience rather then information you can obtain anywhere on the internet.

So far I have a few ideas that I will be trying out in future reviews, as well as I might update old reviews if I find a system I really like.

PP (Password Protector)

I'm sure there are a million password programs out there, but a lot of them cost money and don't really support the things I needed it to do so I made my own, if you'd like to use it just leave a comment below. I'll explain how it works and what it does now.

Some Pass IDs blurred due to privacy reasons, but you can still get the general idea.

This is the main screen which is brought up by hitting your F4 key, from here you can Add New Passwords, Delete Old Passwords, Update Passwords, Use Passwords, and Bind Passwords to a key for quick use.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome

If you aren't already using Google Chrome I will highly recommend it, a beautiful browser that works flawlessly, can be minimalistic or expansive.

Start up is fast and fluent, setting it up is instant, and if you want to install it on a new computer you can just setup the sync and all your files, bookmarks, settings, themes, everything will be there when you get on.

Chrome Extension: Pandora Enhancer

Pandora Enhancer

A neat extension that is great if you use pandora frequently, will remove annoying adds, timeouts, and even gives you a little popup window telling you what song is currently playing where you can vote like or dislike on it.

Chrome Extension: TooManyTabs

Visibo Product Updates: TooManyTabs For Chrome

This is a great chrome extension helpful for fluently browsing the web if you are ending up with 50 tabs open at once and having trouble managing them all, or even if you just want to store some tabs in a bookmark but not have to find and remove them later you can use this for that.

Also gives you a visual representation of all opening tabs so this is amazing for really anyone who wants a better browsing experience give it a shot, it's free anyways.

Welcome to my Blog

At the moment there isn't much here, but in the days to come I intend to post some Video Game Reviews. This is just something I plan to do when I'm bored so I won't be reviewing every game in existence and at that I will probably only review games I actually enjoyed playing.

There isn't really a whole lot that qualifies me to review games, but I figured I'd try my hand at it anyways, I've been playing game for about 11 years now I think since I was 7 or maybe 6. I have never actually tried to write a huge review on a game, I usually just end up making fun of bad games on my steam profile.

I do not have a whole lot of friends but I am always happy to meet new people. I've only had a couple friends my whole life so my social skills can be kind awkward at times. If you somehow read one of these reviews and you feel like adding me my steam profile is at "http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/inori".

Aside from playing video games I've spent a lot of my life playing music; Piano, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Bass, even at one point I did enjoy singing before I went mute, I am probably missing a few instruments but that's not really that important haha.

I enjoy a wide variety of music, though I generally only listen to a few bands now, as I spent most of my life listening to heavy metal so now I can't really stand a whole lot of noise. Supercell is by far one of my favorite bands though, my favorite genre of music is probably alternative.

Thank you very much for reading,
