Infamous 2 - Review

Infamous 2 is quite a interesting game, you play as Cole a normal guy who was delivering a package when it exploded, the explosion was a Ray Sphere or at least I think that's how you spell it. This Ray Sphere gave Cole superpowers, more so it gave him the power to control electricity.

Being someone who controls electricity there is various things you can do with said electricity, for instance using it to horribly fry people to death, or using it to surf along power lines, or even gliding for short durations. However you will run out of electricity eventually then you will need to siphon some more from well anything that has electricity in it. TVs, AC units, Cars, even random pedestrians you can use to bio leech electricity from.

This game is a lot like Grand Theft Auto with superpowers, well and a memorable story, not insulting GTA's stories or anything, but honestly I haven't been able to remember a single one, something about some guy and gangs maybe, I won't get into the story and ruin it since it is a really interesting story.

But the gameplay is a lot of fun, as you play you gain experience which you can use to develop your powers, also you can do certain missions certain ways which will impact your karma which also changes your powers, pretty much anything you do will change your powers in some way, so you can playthrough at least twice.

I encourage you to play any demo available for the game before you buy or rent a game, there is nothing better to help you decide then trying the game firsthand.


Story
7.0 - Clearly not the best story in existence, but it makes you feel like a human being, making you feel guilty for doing bad things, good for doing good things.


Gameplay
8.0 - There are a few awkward bugs, but the smart climbing system works pretty darn well, and developing your powers is a lot of fun.


Audio
8.0 - The music, sound effects and voice acting are well done, keeping you immersed in the game.


Graphics
8.5 - Graphics are really well done, there is limitations for it being a console game, but when you watch that starting scene it's just so amazing.


Replayability
7.0 - There is used created content which I haven't tried, expansion campaigns and a lot of ways to develop your powers so there is some replayability.


Overall - 7.7
Definitely worth looking at, i'd suggest a rent over buying just because renting is really cheap and there is limited replayability you will get bored of it at some point most likely.
