Mass Effect 3 - Demo Impressions

After playing the Mass Effect 3 demo I have come to realize a few things about the gaming industry. For instance game developers these days have no interest in making their game a lasting experience, now i'm not saying you can't get 10 hours out of a game I mean even 100, but the problem is they don't update them, they make their old ones obsolete when all they really need to do is update it and it'd be great.

Take Diablo 2 for instance released in 2000 and Blizzard is still providing updates for it. But then take Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 they keep releasing new ones when they add like 1 or 2 things, make some new maps and market it as a new game for 60$ when we all know the single player in those games are worth nothing the only thing good about it is the multiplayer which isn't worth 60$ for a small update.

Well I feel Mass Effect has turned into this sort of thing, Mass Effect 2 took Mass Effect and added like 3 new spells and a few other things and called it a game, Mass Effect 3 took Mass Effect 2 and added a few more new things and called it a game.

The only reason I'd even entertain the fact that Mass Effect 3 might be worth buying is because I play for the story of the game, and Mass Effect has always had really involving fun stories that keep you enticed.

I'm not even gonna say anything about the multiplayer honestly, the entire thing to me felt like it was tacked on for no reason. Multiplayer with little to no story has no place in Mass Effect where the entire game is about stories.

Now I'm not saying Mass Effect 3 isn't worth buying, I've only seen a small portion of the game hence the term demo, But from what I saw it's definitely not worth 60$. All you are paying for is a new story so it really shouldn't be 60$, it should be like 40$ at most since it's basically a expansion.

But don't take my word for it, head over to http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/demo and try it out yourself then drop me some comments below on your impressions of the demo.
