Limbo Review

Limbo is a fairly unique game, you most likely won't find another game like it. You are shoved into a eerie world with no formal introduction, or any idea what is going on, waking up in the middle of a field. I won't say Limbo is a revolutionary game or anything of the sort but it does it's job well.

Starting Screen.

Limbo is a puzzle/platformer game, mixed with horror elements, from the time you start playing to the end you will be immersed in a eerie yet vibrant living world, of course the puzzles do start off fairly easy, and eventually they start to add some fairly complex platforming puzzles in.

Unfortunately, you can easily beat the game in 2 hours, and then once you beat it there's nothing more to do, since redoing the same puzzles isn't really a challenge, there is a few achievements you can go back through to get, but in the end I believe it is fairly overpriced for the amount of content you are getting.

Example of traps, using things in environment (i.e. Dead body) to
trigger a trap so we can cross safely.

However, if you are a fan of puzzle games, then I'd highly recommend this game to you or perhaps if you are looking for a escape from reality for a few hours where all your troubles melt away and the only thing that matters is trying to survive the many traps of a dark and twisted world.

Story
N/A - There isn't really a story past a few moments in game which aren't formally explained but you can take your best guess at them.

Gameplay
9.0 - Limbo comes close to perfect at a game of it's genre.

Audio
8.0 - The sounds keeps the atmosphere unsettling, however it was a tad disappointing that there was no music.

Graphics
10.0 - Beautiful graphics that really accentuate the atmosphere of the game.

Replayability
2.0 - None existent past a few achievement thrown in at a last second attempt to add some.

Overall - 5.5
(Due to price and only a couple hours of play, however if you have extra money and nothing to spend it on, then this game is defiantly worth a purchase)
