A question many people are probably asking themselves as the release date draws closer. Personally I think any blizzard game is worth buying at one point because they are constantly being updated with fresh content and are supported for long periods of time: Warcraft 3, Diablo 2, Starcraft even i'm sure is still supported.
While I'm sure no one cares about my opinion lol, I'll attempt to prove why you should buy it. Like for one you can be a sexy giant barbarian woman, *Wink Wink* you know the guys will go crazy for your giant muscular body. No but seriously moving on to the actual reasons.
While they have removed the talent tree from the game and the stat point allocation, I feel this is no big loss most of the time you spent pointlessly remaking your character over and over just to get your character perfect which was a complete and utter waste of time. Now they have the skill system setup much like Guild Wars. You have 6 active skill slots open to you for use and each one you can socket with 1 runestone, plus there is 3 passive slots to further customize your character, the runestones you can socket into your skills which are like gems except for skills that change the effect of the spells drastically.
So even if two people play the same character their playstyle could change immensely just from the spells they decide to choose. This adds millions of customization options that will take millions of hours to try and test all the combinations and just on that you are getting your money's worth as most games last like 10 hours for 60$.
But there is much more then that obviously like take for instance crafting I've personally spent at least 10 hours just screwing around with crafters in the beta when they are limited and you can only see a tiny portion of the actual game. Crafting is a surefire way to get good equipment, it actually makes better equipment then most things you can find, so maybe if you don't have the best luck you can always just focus on crafting and make good gear for yourself.
To craft items all you have to do is take the crappy items you find that give you +int as a barbarian because well.. we all know barbarians aren't the smartest people in the world, give them to the blacksmith he takes them apart then you can rebuild them into something useful, like a helmet with horns on it, don't ask me why it has horns on it, it probably makes sense to them at least.
There is many things more to Diablo 3 all of which weren't shown in the beta, well most of them weren't shown in the beta lol, but I believe Diablo 3 is well worth the money to buy from my experience with the beta. It will give you at least 100 hours of gameplay at the very least I'd imagine but should give you many many more then that.
Should I Buy - Diablo 3?
Verdict: YES!
